ColladaMax for 3ds Max 2009 64-bit

I was unable to find the ColladaMax importer/exporter plugin for 3ds Max 2009 64-bit, so I built one. It's from the 3.05b source.

Update 02/03/09 - I made a new build that depends on an older version of the DirectX SDK. It should fix the "failed to initialize" error some of you were getting, without the need to install anything else.

Feel free to grab it if you like:

Cool, it did actually work with my Max2009 SP1 64-bit on Windows Vista Business 64-bit. :) Thanks!

Is there a 3dsmax 2009 32-bit version as well? can't seem to find it in 3.05B either :(

I found this link by way of this thread.

I haven't tested it, however. If it doesn't work let me know and I'll build/post one here.

Hi

I have Max Design 2009 64-bit SP1 and I downloaded the collada plugin, but it is not working. When I start max it gives me a error "colladamax.dle> failed to initialize. Error code 126 - The specified module could not be found".
I already instaled the "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x64)".
Could it be from the design version?
Can anyone help me?
Thanks,
Mario

Got it, make sure both of these are installed for the plug-in to work:

Great, thanks for posting that. Hope it works for others.

I no longer have 2009 x64 installed and lost my ability to test this.

After installing those two packages "Sevensheaven.nl" recommended, I was able to make it work in our other computer with Vista Business 64-bit without SP1. Vista Business 64-bit SP1 didn't need those packages.

Any ideas how to get ColladaMax for Max 2010 32/64bit?

OpenCollada is not an option, as it's missing support for multitextures. Commercial premium exporter from Feeling software is also out of the question.
